Jackson County Republican
Central Committee
The Jackson County Central Committee is the Republican Party authority for the county. It is also the mechanism
through which registered Republicans conduct the business of the party and represent the party to their respective neighborhoods. Members of the Central Committee who are elected officers also represent Jackson County to the Oregon State Republican Central Committee.
A member of the Central Committee is called a "Precinct Committee Person" (PCP). This can be an elected position with a two year term of office, or an appointed position with a shorter term. Jackson County is divided into approximately 50 precincts, each with a number of male and female PCP's based on the population of registered voters within that precinct.
Every quarter the Central Committee holds business meetings at which special guests speak, resolutions are introduced and other business is conducted. The main focus of the Central Committee is to ensure the election of Republicans to the elective offices in the various districts within Jackson County.
Being a PCP allows you to have input into the workings of the Party, work with our elected Republican officials, and even gives advantages to those who desire to run for a higher elective office.
